Color Schemes #1
Inspired by Lori McNee’s “Color Palettes” pinboard on Pinterest I want to establish a new series of posts (maybe one per week) with color combinations I like. Colors are such an important part of all our lives and can have such a strong influence on our mood, that it can be really interesting to see which colors we have around us.
So here is my frist color scheme (photograph by my sister Iris):

I made some screenshots while painting this. Unfortunately I usually forget to take them, that’s why I did not make as much as I wanted. But nevertheless you can see that I changed the idea for the background . I did not want the background to distract from the figure.

Wheel of Fortune
I had the idea of something around the topic of circus for a while. It finally came to this as I saw a photo of an old wheel of fortune and read an article about how people can become victims of their own believes.
